Small Beaded Christmas Trees
I previously shared my Beaded Christmas Tree tutorial, and this project is right along those same lines! Instead of using a 12” dowel for this tree, we are using a 6'“ dowel, instead of using thicker wire, we are using thinner, and instead of using larger beads, we are using mostly seed beads. We are taking that bigger tree, and cutting it down in half! I like the variety of having multiple sizes, as I feel like that gives a little more depth and dimension to my decor.
Supplies
You can find all of the supplies for these beaded trees HERE at my Amazon storefront!
Wood Wheels. I used the same wheels for both the large and small trees. I love that these already have a hole in the center and that they fit a dowel perfectly.
6” Wood Dowels. I used these from Amazon.
Wire. I used a thinner wire for this project to give it a more delicate look. You’ll want to make sure that your wire is still strong enough to hold up the beads on the branch.
Seed Beads. I have a ton of seed beads in my stash, and you probably do too! If not, there are many awesome sets like this one on Amazon. Find a set that has colors that you love!
Other plastic miscellaneous beads. I added a few larger beads here and there on my tree. Make sure these beads aren’t too heavy and that the center hole isn’t larger than your seed beads.
Hot Glue gun and Glue. My fave cordless one is Here.
Tinsel, stars, charms, ribbon, etc. for the top and for “trimming” your tree.
How To
The technique for these small trees is just like that of the bigger ones! You can catch my YouTube video for the big trees to get a tutorial in more detail. Here’s a little one-minute video just to give you the idea!
These little trees are going to be the perfect addition to your tree forest and to your Christmas decor! Make them in different colors or stick with the same color way for a fun pop of color. Kids can even help make these by helping to string the beads onto the trees. Adults should use the hot glue, but these are a great way to get the whole family involved!
